The Palawan Group of Companies has entered an agreement with payment infrastructure provider AltPayNet to expand international remittance rails across its digital and retail channels, the companies announced.

Under the partnership, beneficiaries in the Philippines can receive inbound cross-border funds directly through the PalawanPay mobile wallet or over the counter at more than 3,800 Palawan Express Pera Padala branches nationwide.

“Through our partnership with AltPayNet, we are expanding our ability to connect more Filipinos to the support of their loved ones overseas,” said Lisa Castro-Sabado, chief business development officer of the Palawan Group of Companies. “Whether they are receiving money through PalawanPay or claiming it at any Palawan Express Pera Padala branch nationwide, our goal remains the same: to make remittance services more accessible, more convenient and more reliable for every Filipino.”

AltPayNet President and CEO Don Vacal said the tie-up aims to utilize existing, high-density physical networks to make payout collection faster for overseas families.

“Through our partnership with the Palawan Group, we are expanding our reach through one of the country’s most trusted financial networks, allowing more beneficiaries to receive their funds quickly, conveniently and securely,” Vacal said.
